Learning Outcome:

The students gain an overview about the theoretical, methodical and practical foundations of Freud`s psychoanalysis and its current develoments. The theories and applications of psychoanalysis are the fundamentals of modern psychoanalytic pedagogics.

Contents:

The lecture offers a cursory overview of the current plurality of psychoanalytical theories and techniques in different settings. Starting off with the basic principles of Freudian psychoanalysis, the various psychoanalytical theories (drive theory, ego psychology, object relations theory, self-psychology, attachment theory, interrelational psychoanalysis, structural psychoanalysis) as well as their most important representatives will be discussed.
