This course will develop reading and writing skills at C2 level. Students who enroll in this course should expect to devote ample time to it.

Writing tasks will include conception and composition of various types of texts ranging from creative to academic. Emphasis will be placed on the styles and registers appropriate to different text types.

In-class study of various text types (creative, academic, etc.) with particular emphasis on issues of content, structure, language, style and tone.
In-class and home writing assignments, including peer review and feedback. Analysis and correction of student work, revising and redrafting.
Students are expected to devote ample time to revising and rewriting their own texts, and to work independently on those areas in which they are producing language errors. 

Reading and writing work throughout the semester and final exam
