In the 11th century the Salians were the ruling royal and imperial dynasty of the Roman-German empire. Their time is referred to in many ways as a period of change. The Investiture Controversy, the reform of the church, the emerging cities and the new ministeriality are only a few aspects, which brought about a fundamental change in the ruling orders.

Introduction in the topic, discussion, reading and interpreting primary sources and literature on the topic, written paper with presentation.

Participation, oral presentation on the subject, written thesis.
