By discussing various examples the class will introduce methodological approaches of medieval texts.
We will exercise the content and methodological approaches to medieval latin texts. The focus is on medieval hagiography, which we will analyze and interpret according to questions of cultural history and history of mentalities.
Exercises, case studies, discussion, lecture
Contribution in class; home exercises, short written exam.
Will be discussed in the first lesson.
