Use python code to solve typical astrophysical problems.
Overview of the main Python’s standard library and the main libraries for
scientific data-analysis and Astronomy
The course will present an introduction to Python programming with
examples related to research in astrophysics including data reduction,
data analysis, statistical analysis, presentation of data, and data
mining. The Python language will be introduced with practical
examples, using the main scientific, statistical, and plotting
libraries.
The course will be held as block. Students are required to attend the lecture, do homework and submit a final project that will count towards their final grade.
