Learning Outcome:

Students learn cell- und molecularbiologic basics of cellular reprogramming and examples of biomedical applications.

Contents:

Induced pluripotent stem cells, directe conversion, Transdifferentiation, Derivation of organoids, in vivo reprogramming. Therapeutic Application: Diabetes, neurodegenerativ diseases and heart failure.

Remarks:

A preliminary meeting for all optional modules of the master study in molecular biology will be held on March 6, 2017 at 4 pm in lecture hall B. It is obligatory to attend all three parts (lecture, seminar, course) to pass the module.
