Prerequisites: B1
Goal: The learner increases his/her writing competence and can understand/produce texts graded as B2. Goal: B2 in particular in the following activities:

Production written:
The learner can write about both current and abstract topics and express his/her thoughts and opinions on the topics. He/She can write summaries of articles dealing with general topics.

Reception written:
The learner can understand new circumstances and detailed information of texts with general topics or with topics in his/her field of interest.

Interaction written:
The learner can use stylistically correct, convincing, clear and polite modes of expression, as required by the conventions of the genre concerned or the recipient.

This course is aimed at students wanting specifically to prepare themselves for the written exam which is part of the supplementary examination in German and at students wanting to improve their writing competences. We will deal with the basics of various types of texts like formal and informal texts, summaries and comments.
