Knowledge concerning the seminar topic; competences and methods to do research, to present research findings, to discuss on topics of seminar; special emphasis on critical thinking;

The seminar makes students familiar with concepts, theories, research as well as with public and academic debates on societal change upon the impact of migration in contemporary European societies shaped by migration. It emphasizes also perspectives, models and prospects to solidarity and how are those influenced and changed by opportunities and challenges posed by migrations. The seminar is structured by three major questions: 1. What is a society shaped by migration nowadays? 2. What forces and dynamics of differentiation and polarisation can be detected in such a society? 3. What holds is a society shaped by migration together?

Keynote speech, moderated discussion on a chosen theme, talk of students, critical text analysis

Talk, moderate a workshop on a chosen theme, write an independent seminar work
