To deal with literary texts reflecting on the methodology and to develop a well-founded understanding of literary texts using meaningful examples

Contents:

The seminar focuses on romantic novels. Analyzing aesthetical, rhetorical and narrative structures of some canonized texts, we will gain a historical and systencial knowledge of this epoch.

Introductory presentation, team work

Assessment:

Participation in class, discussion, one presentation, a written paper
