Presentation of important positions of context based theories in Literary Studies

focus on discourse analysis (Michel Foucault), New Historicism (Stephen Greenblatt), Postcolonial Studies (Said, Bhabha, Spivak)

Discussion on key texts and key concepts (discourse, co-text, social energy, orientalism, hybridity, subaltern, etc.)

Lectures, reading of theoretical texts, discussion

presence, preparations of readings, active participation in discussions, test

A bibliography will be handed out at the beginning of the semester
