611200 VU Grammatical Analysis
summer semester 2018 | Last update: 27.02.2018 | Place course on memo listAwareness of theoretical and practical grammatical issues; development of criteria for the analysis of speech, sentence-elements, sentence-parts and subordinate clauses; general disambiguation and awareness of typical Italian word-, phrase-, and sentence-structures.
Types of words and their morphological, semantic and distributional characteristics; syntactic functions and semantic roles of sentence-elements, sentence-parts and subordinate clauses.
The grammatical phenomena under investigation are analyzed on the basis of individual observations (inductive) and general theoretical considerations (deductive). The results are deepened and illustrated by concrete examples of Italian.
A midterm written exam and in the last week a final written exam; the active participation during the course will be considered.
A script will be handed over at the beginning of the course.
Due to substantial differences in the allocation of ECTS-Credits in various curricula (teacher training programs/specialized degree programs), the requirements for this course vary. Information will be provided by the instructor at the beginning of the course.
It is recommended to attend the course at the earliest at the beginning of the language courses of level B1, ideally after their completion.
