Gradutes of this course are able to apply stochastic methods of quantum optics to physical problems.
This class teaches the application of stochastic methods of quantum optics. The first part deals with classical stochastic (Markov) processes. Topics include Langevin equations, Fokker-Planck equations, and stochastic calculus. The second part is on quantum stochastic (Markov) processes with topics quantum Langevin equations, master equation, and continuous measurement theory.
