Students should be aware of the Islamic history in Europe since its early beginnings and be able to distinguish between different stages. Furthermore, they should be capable of analysing and evaluating Islamic culture, history and science in Europe from an Islamic/theological perspective and to reflect upon the developments within a contemporary context.

Reflection and analysis of within an Islamic context originated historical developments and events and their aftermath with a special focus on Europe.
