Students are familiar with the different phases of a research project as well as with the tools that facilitate the planning and implementation of these phases. In addition, students know the characteristcs of different academic texts such as literature reviews or grant proposals.

The seminar offers in-depth engagement with the different phases of planning and implementing research projects in the social sciences and humanities. It seeks to increase student competence in project management, the use of (open-source) software as well as in handling different types of academic texts (such as literature reviews or projects proposals). The seminar prepares students for the work on their MA-thesis and serves as a first orientation for a PhD-project.
