The seminar deals with the topic "infrastructures". On the one hand, it is about infrastructure landscapes in natural topography (railways, lines, roads, lifts, reservoirs, etc.), but on the other hand it is also about the new infrastructures of the digital world. Where there is infrastructure, space is generally considered to be developed. Thus,"infrastructure" becomes the fundamental parameter of architectural and urban planning and beyond that of our development of the world. But how can infrastructure as architecture be discussed? What is the penetration of the environment like? What does the electrification of the world mean and how can this narrative be continued in the age of digitalization? In the seminar, relevant texts will be read and interpreted by architectural and media theoreticians, but also by tourism experts or geographers.  

The seminar teaches the basics of scientific work. How to write an abstract? How to quote correctly? How to find suitable literature? How to build a scientific paper? Students are introduced step by step to scientific work by writing texts and giving short lectures. 

Continuous assessment and compulsory attendance.
