The course deals with brand management from a marketing perspective by differentiating between legal and marketing policy aspects.

Part Mildner: This part tries to link the economic and legal aspects of economic practices in marketing and brand management within the legal framework. The legal part focuses on the principles of Unfair Competition Law and development on a national and European level, including court decisions of the European Court of Justice. Furthermore the connections with Trademark and Anti-Trust Law are imparted.

Part Antretter: This part deals with brand management from a marketing perspective and discusses questions such as the function of brands in an economic environment.

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
