winter semester 2018/2019 | Last update: 04.07.2019 | Place course on memo listStudents get an insight in the field of German as a foreign/second language, know specific aspects of this field and approach teaching comptetences.
Main features od teaching a foreign/second language (the communicative, learnercentered approach); current postion of curricula (applying the Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR); basic skills and competences (grammar and lexis); overview of teaching paradigms.
Further aspects: parameters for German as a FOREIGN and a SECOND language respectively, examination of textbooks and typologies of tasks and exercises, applying various methods in teaching skills; ideas gained in research-based publications.
Input and presentations, discussions and group-work; analysis of teaching material and learners' performances; critical reading of the assigned set text.
Two clearly defined written tasks, written exam, active participation and contributions in class.

Students following the syllabus teaching degree german (333) will get a modified workload.
