Students know main concepts and models of teaching grammar in German as a foreign and second language respectively. They reflect and analyse the role of explicit grammar instruction in the acquisition of a foreign or second language.

Contents:

The role of grammar instruction in various paradigms of language teaching; models of dealing with grammar in class; features of didactic grammar; grammar of German focused on from the perspective of language acquisition.

Methods:

Presentations, discussions, analaysis of learners' performances and teaching material.
