This introductory course will give an overview of different areas, theories and terms of spanish linguistics.

Contents:

Topics to be discussed: Spain and the regional languages, european structuralism, morphology, word-formation, semantics, lexicology, lexicography and history of Spanish.

Methods:

Discussion, frontal teaching and lectures.

Assessment:

Regular attendance, active participation, oral presentacion, written final exam.

will be discussed in class

Remarks:

As a precondition for attending this course: BA: students need the modules 1, 2, 7 and 8. LA: students must participate at same time Sprachkurs Spanisch C
