Students are familiar with the criteria for semantic classification and the approaches to semantic explications and are able to apply them. 

This lecture offers a survey of the most important linguistic theories on semantics and their application to Slavonic languages. A special focus will be on the theory of prototypes and on the Moscow Semantic School.
