This course aims to give participants an advanced level of competence in medical translations.
Participants will gain a basic understanding of medical translation through lecture and practical exercises. Special emphasis will be placed on terminology and phraseology related to selected medical areas as well as on glossary compilation.
Weekly translation assignments, group glossary project, in-class exercises.
One written exam and one term paper with glossary; continuous evaluation.
Material will be provided in class.
Students must have successfully completed the 2. DP or passed the BA exams in English.
