winter semester 2018/2019 | Last update: 13.06.2018 | Place course on memo listAcquisition of basic skills for dealing with historic sources and presentations of Contemporary History as well as skills in presenting the newly acquired knowledge orally as well as in writing. Acquisition of basic knowledge and application of relevant methods aiding scientific research.
Reading and evaluation of subject-specific sources and studies of an epoch or a field in history; recognizing of questions in historical sciences, perceptions of history and historic narratives; reading and evaluation of historiographic texts and their analysis as historic source.
Reading, oral presentations with handout, seminar paper, discussion; teacher's lecture.
Course with continuous performance assessment: attendance at all sessions, regular and active participation in discussions (oral and written), oral presentation with handout, seminar paper (max. 5 pages).
Reading list will be provided.
