622028 Region and History
winter semester 2018/2019 | Last update: 17.04.2019 | Place course on memo listBasic knowledge of the post-war history of Italy with a focus permanently put on South Tyrol. The thorny road of Italy to regionalism is illustrated by the case study of South Tyrol in the international context.
The lecture follows the rise of Italy from the status of a post-Fascist nation with high war damage, political-social instability and low-power economy towards a European leadership. Alto Adige is an important test case in the course of Italy in 1945-1972, which strongly stresses the mutual relations, but also makes important learning processes possible on both sides.
