· Refresh and deepen classroom observational skills/competencies acquired in the initial course of study, - planning, - preparation and - execution, giving and receiving feedback;
· Acquire knowledge about 'good teaching' and results of learning research;
· Practice using moderation "tools";
· Extending methodological repertoire for teaching;
· Enhance ability to use targeted and appropriate methods;
· Extending communicative abilities and the skills of conflict resolution and "classroom management";
· Dealing with the basic attitudes and competencies of the occupation of the teacher;
· Insight into the potential areas of conflict, possibilities and limitations within school systems;
· Dealing with current educational and school issues;
· Demonstrate methodological competence within selected situations in the classroom.
· Classroom/lesson observation, feedback, learner and teacher perspectives on teaching and learning, lesson planning and preparation, presentation and teaching methods
· Dealing with difficult professional situations;
· the conflicting priorities within school systems;
· development of personal position and formulate objectives, based on the EPIK domains, development of a pedagogical mission statement within the context of different learning cultures and theories, organisational issues surrounding school placements;
· opportunity to experiment with teaching methods.
Reading, lectures, discussions, presentations, teaching simulations and video analysis, case studies and collegial consultation/feedback, partner and group work, project work, landscape of learning, reflective writing; method assessment in accordance with assessment criteria
Each course counts towards the overall assessment; in addition the following documents are required: documentation of classroom observations, didactic analysis and other forms of teaching preparation; documentation of engaging with course texts; methods assessment; create a collection of 60 teaching methods with self-documented methods for teaching, portfolio production.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of the first phase of study in school pedagogical training (introductory phase, basic skills 1, GLL) and completion of both subjects.
