Knowledge of the specific forms of communication with particular emphasis on Literary Studies and Comparative Literature.

The course provides an introduction to Literary Studies. Participants will acquire basic knowledge in different working techniques (reading, extracts, research, writing, presentation, discussion) and will get an overview of issues and research fields of Comparative Literature, especially intertextuality, translation, world literature and theory.

Lecture, discussions, oral presentations, group work, short papers.

Regular attendance, active participation in the lessons, assignments, oral presentation, portfolio, final exam.
