Acquisition of competences and a critical attitude in dealing with historical sources and scholarly literature dealing with the History of Modern times as well as the ability to present the newly-acquired knowledge in oral and written form.
The course will provide an insight into the diverse leaflet literature of the last quarter of the 18th century. given. The focus here is not on the famous enlighteners, but on the production of lesser-known authors, who as a whole, however, significantly influence the discourses of the time. The geographical focus is on the Austrian-South German area.
Preparatory phase, joint interpretation of source texts with presentations; OLAT.
Continuous participation, short presentations with discussions and handout; small written exam.
