Students should :
- understand the topic of food souvereignty from different perspectives and disciplinary angels as well as different spatial levels from local to global.
- be able to narrate the scientific state of knowledge to the various aspects and the underlying societal discourses and argue the different positions associated.
- feel that the topic cannot be limited to factual knowledge, but includes a multitude of actor interests, emotional positions and various relations, which impact and hamper the discussion.
- Concept of food sovereignty (history, goals implementation)

- Actors of food provision and their discourses
- Localisation -regionalisation
- Food sovereign provision
- Food production, food consumption and food sovereignty
- Global markets and food sovereignty
- Food sovereignty in cities
- Societal transformation to a sustainalbe food system.
Various formatsare applied to transmitt the content and to reach the goals:
- Lectures of experts with moderated discussions
- Workshops in small groups
- theater workshop
- probably excursions
Written essays to specific questions after each unit with the aim to synthesize the different topics and perspectives and to achieve ultimately a comprehensive overview.
