222911 Learning Theology through a novel: "The Brothers Karamasov" by Fyodor Dostoevsky

One can also consider the novel “The Brothers Karamazov” as a kind of a “manual of theology”. The theological content should not be reduced to the well-known story of the "Grand Inquisitor." In the sessions, the plot and biographies of the “gifted existences” of the novel will be reconstructed and brought into connection with the “dramatic approach” to theology. Since the novel has about 1300 pages, the joy of reading is a “conditio sine qua” non for the participation at this course. The language of this course is german!!

Neben der fortlaufenden Lektüre des Romans und der Teilnahme an den Sitzungen verfassen die DiplomandInnen eine, die DoktorandInnen zwei Seminararbeiten.
