Students have acquired a basic understanding of the objectives, content and methods of business informatics. Students understand the fields of action, competencies and challenges of workers in the field of business informatics. Students know the main components of information and communication systems and understand the systems’ and components’ relationships between each other. Students are able to read and develop business processes and recognise them as the business informatics’ perspective on enterprises. Students know the fields of application, architecture, content and functions of organisational information and communication infrastructure. Students have acquired deepened skills in selected subsystems and have gained first hands-on experience with selected systems.

In the lecture, content is presented and discussed with the students. In the associated lab, selected content is deepened with practical exercises using computers and group work.
