The participant students acquire knowledge of theories and methods for the syntactic analysis of spoken language as well as the ability of recognizing and interpreting recurrent syntactic structures in a scientific manner.

The course offers an interdisciplinary overlook of the intersection between conversation analysis and grammar and discusses the potential of a systemic grammar of spoken language is possible.

Classroom discussions of single case studies, empirical teamwork.

Short presentation, written term paper, active participation in the class
