Students are able to discuss issues and results of linguistic research and apply methods of scientific working.

Discourses reflect power structures and organizational structures of a society (cf. Foucault 2017). Together, we will analyse discourses about how they construct groups at the periphery of a society and affected by precariousness (vgl. Motakef 2015).
For this purpose,students get an insight into current linguistic research questions and results and work – under guidance - on a specific scientific problem.

Shared work on a research project from data collection, encoding, analysis and presentation; data sessions, short presentations, poster presentations

Oral and written: active participation in class, preparatory reading, OLAT-tasks, presentations; discussions, short documentation of outcomes
