Expanded knowledge and independent application of art-historical methods on examples referred to in the lecture.

On the occasion of the LFU's 350th anniversary, the Archive of Architecture (at the Adambräu) is developing an EXHIBITION about the architect Lois Welzenbacher (130th

birthday, 1889-1955). Welzenbacher is one of Austria's most important architects in the 20th century and is regarded today as the "superfather" of modern architecture in Tyrol. The Adambräu is one of his most important designs and an incunable of modern industrial construction. The fact that the EXHIBITION about Lois Welzenbacher can be seen in the former brewhouse of the Adambräu and virtually shows "Welzenbacher in Welzenbacher" is of particular charm.

The accompanying PUBLICATION on the exhibition focuses on this building, because the Adambräu is one of Welzenbacher's most important buildings, for which there is not enough representation yet. An overview of the collection with its highlights gathered within the last 15 years will impressively demonstrate the importance of this collection for the cultural memory of Tyrol.

The aim of the curatorial study is the involvement of the students in the preparation and (hoepefully) execution of the exhibition, including the accompanying publication.
