In this tutorial  students will intensify their knowledge on different aspects of the topic by concentrating on selected source texts and thematically relevant specialized literature.

In this tutorial, different texts on the conception and description of Europe between the 16th and early 20th centuries are presented and interpreted. It will take into account learned ideas as well as memoirs and governmental documents.

Short presentations by students, discussions, written exercises und teacher-centred teaching.

Active cooperation, discussion contributions, presentation with handout, short written test, short written exam at end of semester
