The students can ask a clearly formulated and well defined research question; they can independently analyze this question and present the result of their research in a scientific manner; they can refute critical remarks with good arguments or they can constructively use those remarks and finally write a scientific essay.
Peasants war in the 16th century, behavior of the authorities, peasants war in Upper Austria with special focus on 1626, occupation policy of the Bavarian authorities, leaders of the peasents, the "Frankenburger Würfelspiel", tradition of the peasensts wars, reanactment, playing history. This lecture includes a mandatory field study from 26 to 28 July 2019 to Frankenburg, Upper Austria.
