Learning Outcome:

In this tutorial students will intensify their knowledge on different aspects of the topic by concentrating on selected source texts and thematically relevant specialized literature.

Contents:

Guided reading and interpreting of key sources and descriptions of the Modern Times. Training to develop leading historical questions, to understand historical master narratives and the construction of historical concepts

Methods:

Short presentations by students, discussions, written exercises und teacher-centred teaching.

Assessment:

Active cooperation, discussion contributions, presentation with handout, short written test, short written exam at end of semester
