Students have theoretical knowledge on basic mechanism of cell biology, see content.

Molecular mechanism of proliferation, cell cycle, cell growth, cellular senescence, cell differentiation (cell types), cell death (Apoptosis and Nekrosis), signal transduction (Phosphorylation, Ubiquitin and Ubiquitin-like-proteins). Regulation of gene expression and translation. Cells in tissues and organs. Methods of cell culture, infection and transfection of mammalian cells (employment of viral systems, RNAi-mediated knock-down and CRISPR/Cas9-mediated knock-out, ...).
