The students are able to demonstrate a level of general English competence equivalent to at least level B2 (Common European Framework) regarding reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.

They are able to understand and analyse concepts of business organisations, economic transactions, corporate structures, sustainability, intercultural problems, human resources and customer relations management as well as marketing in the tourism, sports and health sector. Additionally, they are able to apply appropriate English terminology, language patterns, collocations and structures of associated topics to analyse, evaluate, communicate and present the relevant results effectively. They realize the interdependences of the different functions in business. 

They are able to understand English texts/visual materials and audio-materials regarding the above fields, analyse, present facts, and produce analytic, descriptive, informative or persuasive text within this context as well as short essays, reports or articles.

This course focuses on the acquisition of tourism-, health- and sports-related basics, terminology, structures and collocations with respect to all skills.

Data and facts are analysed, evaluated and presented based on current topics and concepts from the fields of business, economy, sports, health and tourism as well as latest press releases. Additionally, texts, concepts and presentations for all various practical purposes have priority.
