Getting familiar with the terminology of depth psychology, behavioral psychology, and humanistic psychology. Discussion of the merits and limits of these accounts.

We will primarily discuss

  • criteria of methodological accounts to empirical psychology;
  • the theory of human nature in (classical and modern) psychoanalysis, behavioral psychology, and humanistic psychology;
  • internal and external factors that determine human experience and behavior;
  • what influences our motivation etc.

Lecture inputs and discussion.

Written exam.
(Oral exams only exceptional and individually justified cases.)
