Students will gain an insight into essential parts of sports economics. on the basis of a socio-economic approach, students should acquire the ability to understand and assess sports economics and politics.

Contents:

In addition to the discussion of the peculiarities of sport from an economic perspective, the following topics are discussed:

the demand for sport competitions,
economic characteristics of sports competitions,
economic peculiarities of leagues,
the labour market in sports,
doping and
sport development
