Knowledge about the role of language in political contexts as well as language policy and language politics.

Ability to critically handle and reflect different research methods.

Ability to analyse language use in political contexts and language policy on the basis of research work.

Ability to write a paper.

Language is a central means to formulate political ideas and aims.

Moreover is language use and language planning subject to political decisions. Discourse on language(use) is an important means of inclusion and exclusion, of belonging and not belonging. We will deal with both aspects of the topic.
