Critical analysis of historical sources (songs, poster, video)

Chansons and history - history of songs

  • The function of the songs during the French Revolution, a few children's songs
  • The cultural life and the media in France during the Second World War.

cultural policy - the singer during the Second World War (Collaboration and Resistance) - The media and their role

  • famous singer (Georges Brassens, Barbara, Jacques Brel, Renaud, ...)

  • Weekly homework which serve as the basis for the next course: - Analysis of chansons and reading of documents (answers to questions)

  • discussion
  • weekly review of homework through oral question
  • Submission of one written homework
  • Final exam

A "dossier" will be indicated at the beginning of the semester (OLAT)
