Specialised knowlege regarding theories and concepts on the relationship between literature and film; specialised knowledge regarding the relationship between literature and film in the Romance culatures; ability to critically reflect relevant theories, concepts and phenomena.

The seminar is dedicated to a particular aspect of the research era on "intermediality", i.e. the relationship between literature and film. In the first part of the course we will focus on relevant theories and concepts, while in the second part we will study a series of case studies from the Romance cultures - both examples of filmic writing in literature and filmic adaptions of literary texts.
