In this course students will get an overview of the geography, population and economy of France.

We will focus on basic geographic knowledge about France, its climate, regional administration in different geographic entities, the French oversea departments, the French people, the social system, an overview of the French economy etc.

You will receive all information about relevant literature as well as worksheets, source texts, etc. (files, copies or master copies - any copy costs will be collected at the end of the semester) in class.

In order to attend this course, students need to have passed the compulsory module 4. Please bring along a written confirmation in our first lesson.

 

Important: Before completing the entrance and orientation phase of studies (StEOP) students may not acquire more than 30 ECTS points overall.
