Prominent art works of the spanish art history in early modern times (El Escorial, Palacio Real, El Greco, Velázquez, Goya, etc.) and in Toledo the evidence of interaction between Christian, Jewish and Islamic culture are the focal point. The historical significance of the regency by the Habsburgs and Bourbons serves as guideline for the art-historical analyses.
Presentations, discussions in front of the original artwork.
This excursion requires continuous assessment based on active participation and oral/ written presentations on location.
