Acquisition of competences and a critical attitude in dealing with historical sources and representations of Contemporary History as well as the ability to present the newly-acquired knowledge in oral and/or written form;  the acquisition of awareness and the use of relevant scientific methods; acquisition of an awareness of the forms of historical self-display and the ability to present historical relationships on-site.

Critical review and interpretation of key-sources relevant to the 20th century history.

Reading, oral presentations with paper, written paper, discussion; teacher's lecture.

Course with continuous performance assessment: attendance at all sessions, regular and active participation in discussions, presentation and final written paper (max. 5 pages).

Will be discussed in class.
