The course aims at providing an introduction to General and Comparative Literary Studies. It will provide participants with a basic knowledge in different working techniques of literary studies (reading, extracts, research, writing, presentation, discussion). It also offers initial insights into issues and problems of General and Comparative Literary Studies, especially intertextuality, translation and world literature, intermediality, interculturality, and literary theory.
Lecture, discussions, oral presentations, group work, short papers.
Regular attendance, active participation in the lessons, assignments, oral presentation, portfolio, final exam.
