Discussion of literary and filmic depictions of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

The seminar is part of the following study programs: MA Germanistik, MA Unterrichtsfach Deutsch, and MA Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft. It deals with literary and filmic depictions of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 as part of the public debate as well as a specific medium of reflection. Along with this, we will discuss the special literary and filmic potential of the topic, for instance in terms of spacial and figural constellations or plot structure. Part of the seminar is a film series organized in collaboration with the Leo-Kino.
