By discussing various examples the class offers an introduction to medieval auxiliary sciences.

Charlemagne or Charles the Great is without a doubt one of the most famous medievel emperors. By focusing on various importants aspects of his reign we will gain a deeper understanding of his time.

Exercises, case studies, discussion, lecture

Contribution in class; home exercises, short written paper.

Will be discussed in the first lesson.

Before attending the course, it is recommended to complete the VO Basic Knowledge from the Middle Ages.
