Knowledge of the most important Earth scientific disciplines and their interaction. Students have a basic understanding of the most important concepts and processes that contributed to the formation of planet Earth and still contribute to its constant transformation.

Practical examples to quantitatively determine mineralogical processes. Short basic introduction into the most important minerals and rock types. Description and interpretation of rock samples. Short field to Innsbruck and sorroundings
