Students learn how to apply simple mathematical and statistical models, which are commonly used in biological studies.

Mathematical and statistical analyses, which are often used in biological studies, will be presented and explained by case studies. Mathematical analyses include differential and integral calculus, statistical analyses include various basic statistical tests such as t-tests and analysis of variance as well as theory of probability.
